Seth Rollins made quite the impact on his first WWE appearance since the Royal Rumble and it could be argued that attacking Cesaro was the best way to make a statement.
Cesaro has been on quite the run in WWE in recent weeks. Last week, he defeated Daniel Bryan in one of his biggest wins to date. The former Tag Team Champion is destined to be the breakout star in the company this year, and Rollins would want to be a part of this.

While Cesaro isn't on the same page as Rollins at present, there is nothing stopping Seth Rollins from convincing Cesaro to join him and be part of a team the way Murphy once was in the coming months.
Cesaro could feel dejected following Elimination Chamber if he isn't able to win the match or the Universal Championship, which could lead to the former Champion deciding to take Rollins up on his offer and be part of his vision for a new SmackDown.
