#2 Long term story-telling
WWE rarely has long term story-telling on RAW or SmackDown. Kofi Kingston’s feud with Randy Orton last year and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt’s ongoing feud with John Cena were not planned long before and certainly gained hype due to the coincidence.
While the creative managed to bring the past altercations in the above-mentioned feuds, it forced the creative to dig deep into the history to establish a connection.

Short-lived feuds seem to be a more common theme in WWE nowadays. And if we actually get to see a lengthy feud, it often ends up turning stale within a span of few weeks.
However, this is only limited to RAW and SmackDown. NXT, on the other hand, has had several long-term bookings and the black and gold brand has done wonders in executing them with perfection.
The feud between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa or something as recent as Dakota Kai’s heel turn speaks volumes about the dedication of the NXT creative towards building-up intense storylines.
Much to the relief of the fans, developing engaging feuds over the course of a few months and delivering well-planned feuds would become a common occurrence across all three brands once ‘The Game’ takes over the creative control of WWE.
