Edge broke from his tag team, to become one of the greatest heels of his era. He was seen as the ultimate opportunist, as he would pounce whenever a chance arose to secure victories. Edge could not hesitate to hop onto the cheating bandwagon if his life depended on it as per his character.

Rollins' persona took a heel turn when he betrayed The Shield. This was a clever move to get into the good books of The Authority. His reward was the WWE Championship and several accolades along the line.
