Some of Cesaro's best matches have been against terrific high flyers that he can toss around and also sell for. Sami Zayn immediately comes to mind for the series of excellent contests the two had in NXT. However, Rey Fenix may be able to exceed those previous meetings with Zayn.
Fenix is the best high flyer in all of All Elite Wrestling. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion has stunned audiences and fans across the world while putting on fantastic battles in singles and tag team competitions. Claudio vs. Fenix would deliver some unbelievable sequences with a mix of strength, speed, timing and agility between these two marvelous competitors.
1) Cesaro vs. Will Ospreay
There is only one high flyer in the business who can bring those elements that work so well with the Swiss Superman, but also match his physical intensity. That man is Will Ospreay. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has evolved before the fans' eyes.
Once a spectacular high flyer who lived and died by his aerial assaults, Ospreay is now a deadly assassin who can destroy anyone in multiple ways. He still has the speed, quickness and athleticism that originally allowed him to put on showstealers with Ricochet and KUSHIDA in the junior heavyweight division. However, the Commonwealth Kingpin brings an uncaring ruthlessness that will do anything for victory.
That aggression in Ospreay will be needed against Claudio Castagnoli. He is another performer who has a switch and can be just as ruthless as the next man. This would make the final stretch of this bout extremely compelling to watch. That's why a showdown with Will Ospreay is the best dream match for Cesaro outside WWE.
