#4. Adam Cole vs Edge in a Clash of Grand-Slam Champions

We may well have seen this dream match within WWE had things gone differently; with Adam Cole only just joining AEW following the expiration of his WWE contract.

Cole's debut at All Out saw him instantly re-align himself with the Elite faction consisting of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, positioning himself opposite Christian Cage and Jurassic Express.

We have already covered the dream match aspect of Christian for Edge but yet another avenue to explore would be a reunion with his partner to take on the heel faction, and as a result tear it up with the former NXT Grand-Slam champion.

Adam Cole had already proven a mastery of pro-wrestling on the indies before moving onto his NXT run, where he upped the ante and took every accolade on offer against the likes of Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor.

Edge on the other hand, has also taken every accolade on offer in the WWE, and while the two clashing would be a tale of two top wrestlers, it would also be an immense clash of champions and a rich advertisement for the sport.

#3. Kazuchika Okada vs Edge: Rainmaker vs Ultimate Opportunist

I really could have been a bit lazy and said all of New Japan when it comes to Edge dream matches, and you could easily interchange the Rainmaker with any of the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Jay White or Tetsuya Naito.

But if we are talking about the single dream match should Edge cross the Pacific to Japan, Kazuchika Okada reigns supreme above them all. Okada has repeatedly broken the Meltzer scale with his excellent matches opposite another Canadian in Kenny Omega, and occupies the position as truly one of the best wrestlers in the world today.

Two stars atop their respective promotions, any clash between the two will go down as an instant classic, a testament to the dedication they share for their craft and as Kayla Braxton said, "one of the greatest wrestling matches ever".
