Rey Mysterio recently made his return to WWE and has signed with the SmackDown Live brand. Mysterio clearly still has the ability to compete at the top level as shown by his matches with current United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, The Miz, and Andrade 'Cien' Almas.

Mysterio had a great performance in the Royal Rumble in January, the Greatest Royal Rumble in April, and in the traditional Survivor Series 5 on 5 Elimination Tag Team Match this past month. Mysterio has had great matches with big men such as Batista, Kane, and The Undertaker in the past, so he would definitely be able to do that with someone like Lars Sullivan.

Rey Mysterio's ability to gain sympathy from the WWE Universe would be extremely beneficial for Lars Sullivan as Sullivan can definitely gain even more heat from beating down an underdog like Mysterio.
