#2: Stone Cold vs CM Punk

The WWE teased it years ago.

Had CM Punk not left the company in the manner that he did all the way back in 2014, this match would probably be far more likely than it is now. Austin and Punk have always been connected by an intriguing plethora of parallels, from their days as anti-heroes and crowd favourites, to their ties to alcohol. Austin being the beer-drinker and Punk being the straight-edge superstar has always made for a fascinating foundation between the two megastars, and to this day fans still eagerly await the day that Austin and Punk collide. This match has been played up so much in the past that fans almost became expectant of seeing it on a big stage.

Still, let us not forget that Punk may return to wrestling in the future and when he does, expect the Austin rumours to circulate around him once again. Off all the dream matches on the list, this is what I want to see the most, and I expect many other WWE fans to be in the same boat.
