Ever since Bayley joined Sasha Banks and the rest of WWE’s ‘Four Horsewomen’ on the main roster in 2016, there has been speculation about a possible one-on-one match between the former NXT rivals.

The Golden Role Models have faced each other in 15 televised singles matches over the last seven years, with 10 of those in-ring encounters coming in NXT (2013-2015) and the other five taking place on RAW (2017-2018).

Although they came close to splitting up in mid-2018, Bayley and Banks have never been involved in a serious rivalry against each other on the main roster.

When could WWE book the match?

Asuka will challenge Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship and Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in separate matches at WWE SummerSlam.

It has been confirmed that Bayley and Banks will have to defend their Women’s Tag Team titles one week later at WWE Payback, but their opponents have not yet been revealed.

WWE has already planted the seeds for a future Bayley vs. Banks match, so perhaps that could finally come to fruition if they lose their titles at SummerSlam and Payback.
