Along with Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman joined forces on WWE television after SummerSlam 2018 to feud with reunited Shield members Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

Did you know a top WWE Superstar just wrestled outside the company? More details HERE

It appeared as though WWE was heading towards a high-profile singles match between Strowman and McIntyre in 2019, possibly at WrestleMania 35, but their only one-on-one encounter lasted just six minutes and ended in a disqualification victory for The Monster Among Men on a January 2019 episode of RAW.

When could WWE book the match?

Drew McIntyre will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton at SummerSlam, while Braun Strowman is set to put his Universal Championship on the line against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

If both men emerge from SummerSlam as title holders, they will be on course to finally go head-to-head at a PPV for the first time in November 2020 if WWE continues the Champion vs. Champion tradition at Survivor Series.

As you can see above, Strowman has already suggested that he should face McIntyre in a Title vs. Title match at WrestleMania.
