#1 AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker
It was revealed on WWE Network docuseries Undertaker: The Last Ride that AJ Styles pitched the idea of facing The Undertaker in a regular match at WrestleMania 36.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE was unable to hold WrestleMania in front of over 70,000 fans at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, which meant The Undertaker vs. Styles ended up having a Boneyard match stipulation – a modern-day Buried Alive match – instead of taking place in a WWE ring.
The Undertaker seemingly retired in the final episode of his WWE Network series, but he also admitted that he would be open to having one more match if Vince McMahon ever needs him in an emergency.
When could WWE book the match?
AJ Styles told Sports Illustrated in June 2020 that he is still hopeful of facing his WrestleMania 36 opponent in a regular match, but he is unsure if it will ever happen.
“There is still hope The Undertaker is going to have one more match. You can’t blame him if he decides that this is it. I don’t know how he feels about it. I still have ideas of what we’d do in the ring. I’m going to keep them, I’m going to save them if he ever wants us to have that opportunity together in the ring. It’s all up to 'Taker, but I’m holding onto those spots.”
The 30th anniversary of The Undertaker’s WWE debut is coming up at Survivor Series 2020.
If WWE is allowed to welcome fans back into arenas by then, perhaps that show could be the perfect time to bring a definitive end to The Deadman’s legendary career.
