There is no doubt that WWE and NJPW both have rosters that are absolutely stacked full of talent. With WWE being the #1 wrestling company in the world, and NJPW being at #2- everybody has dream matches consisting of wrestlers from different companies that they would love to see take place in any wrestling ring.

WWE is more of a company that provides entertainment, however, they have recently been focusing on their wrestling a lot. On the other hand, NJPW is a company that focuses on creating stories in the ring which are then backed up with promo segments- but the matches clearly matter more than the promos do. A crossover between WWE & NJPW is very unlikely to happen but we can all dream, right?

Here is a list of 5 dream matches that we would love to witness if the WWE & NJPW had a huge crossover.

#5 Samoa Joe (WWE) vs. Tomohiro Ishii (NJPW)

Two of the most hard-hitting wrestlers in the industry today.

Due to the similar styles of wrestling that Ishii and Joe have when it comes to the ring, a dream match featuring both wrestlers would be nothing short of excellent.

Tomohiro Ishii is a wrestler that was pushed heavily in his career as a lower-card superstar. He has been in NJPW since 2002 where he made a name for himself by gaining a following that was unexpected. He was a very underrated figure in the wrestling world, and he has gained a reputation for being one of the toughest people in wrestling today.

Samoa Joe has always been more a well-known name, especially because of his days in the independent scene. Joe is another superstar that has a reputation for being tough, and he has proved himself in major companies such as ROH and Impact Wrestling. He has never stepped foot into an NJPW ring.

Seeing two superstars that have the same style of wrestling clashing together would be a great sight to see for wrestling fans. Both wrestlers understand psychology and selling very well, and they don't need to pretend to be tough due to their size and physicality. Both wrestlers are cut from the same cloth, and if these two were to ever step foot into the same ring - there is no doubt that chaos would occur.

#4 The Bar (WWE) vs. The Young Bucks (NJPW)

There is no doubt that The Bar & The Young Bucks have what it takes to create an awesome match.

Seeing two of the best Tag Teams in NJPW and WWE respectively going at it in a match would be one that would have the wrestling universe on fire.

The Young Bucks are the most well-known tag team in wrestling today, and that is amazing considering the fact that they haven't appeared on WWE television before. Nick Jackson and Mike Jackson have held Tag Team Championship gold all across the world, but in NJPW- they have astonishingly held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions 7 times. They are also former IWGP Tag Team Champions.

But as for The Bar, Cesaro & Sheamus were two superstars who were falling on the pecking order before they were put together into a tag team following a heated rivalry. They had held the Raw Tag Team Championships 4 times, and they are also the current Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

The Young Bucks are known for their use of Superkicks in the ring, as well as their high flying abilities that they can execute better than most high flying wrestlers. The Bar is a different tag team, as they are definitely more creative with their use of power. Cesaro is a decorated tag team wrestler as he has held tag team titles with many superstars such as Tyson Kidd, Chris Hero (now Kassius Ohno), and the list goes on. Sheamus & Cesaro are also very innovative and unique as a tag team, whether it's as faces or heels.

Without a shadow of a doubt, pitting two different teams with different styles in the same ring would be a match that could steal any show.

#3 Seth Rollins (WWE) vs. Kenny Omega (NJPW)

The Architect & The Best Bout Machine would put on a fantastic match.

Imagine putting two of the best wrestlers from two different companies in the same ring together?

The combination of Seth Rollins and Kenny Omega would be magnificent to witness. The Architect has done it all in the WWE, as he is not only a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion- but he is also a former United States Champion, a 2-time Intercontinental Champion, a 3 time WWE Tag Team Champion as well as a Money in the Bank winner.

As for Omega, he is an individual that has also accomplished everything there is in NJPW. He is the current NJPW Heavyweight Champion, as well as a 2 time Junior Heavyweight Champion, a former IWGP Intercontinental & United States Champion, a winner of the G1 Climax along with being a two time NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion and a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion.

Another reason why these two facing off in a match would be so great would be due to the fact that they both know how to put on a long bout with psychology that makes sense. We've seen this plenty of times during Omega's series of matches with Kazuchika Okada, as well as Rollins' matches with just about anybody on the Raw roster.

#2 John Cena (WWE) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi (NJPW)

Two of the biggest faces of their companies at their prime.

This match combination is one that the entire world would love to see, as you have two wrestlers who were the faces of their companies at the exact same time.

Hiroshi Tanahashi was the man that led NJPW's comeback from being in one of the worst positions you could ever imagine a company would be, to the second-best pro wrestling company in the world- just behind WWE. He is arguably the best in-ring performer in the wrestling business today as he can put on a fantastic match with just about anybody.

As for John Cena, he was a superstar that rose from a trash-talking rapper into WWE's biggest franchise player at the time. Cena was the one who had to hold the ship tightly together following a fall in ratings in the WWE, and he did so successfully.

Unlike Tanahashi, Cena was a superstar that was constantly hated in the WWE despite being the biggest babyface in the company- however, you can't deny Cena's ability to also put on a fantastic match.

Tanahashi is one of the best story-tellers in the wrestling ring today, and he doesn't have the same charisma that Cena possesses. But Tanahashi is also definitely more technical than Cena when it comes to the ring. Both men are no longer at the peak of their careers, but they are still very recognized names in the wrestling industry today that would put on a stunning match if they were to ever face each other.

#1 Daniel Bryan (WWE) vs. Kazuchika Okada (NJPW)

Kazuchika Okada is the current ace of NJPW.

Finally, you have two of the most jaw-breaking wrestlers in Daniel Bryan and Kazuchika Okada at #1 on the list.

Bryan had dominated ROH to the point where he was regarded as the best in-ring wrestler in the world. The former American Dragon was known as the founding father of ROH before he made the transition to WWE where he also became one of the biggest stars in the WWE after the storyline of the Yes Movement. Now, Bryan is currently the WWE Champion as a heel superstar.

Daniel Bryan is the current WWE Champion as he is playing the role of a heel character.

But as for Okada, he was always a great wrestler- but he just didn't have the 'it' factor that was required of him to become a huge star. That was until 2012, where Okada repackaged himself with a new look as he was known as The Rainmaker. And from there, he also went onto conquer NJPW by becoming the Ace of the company and winning multiple World Heavyweight Championships.

Both men are very similar in the fact that they had to change themselves in order to make it in their companies. But at the same time, their differences lie in the fact that their characters are the complete opposite.

The Rainmaker is a fantastic wrestler with a flashy gimmick as he can make it rain with all his money in his pocket, whereas Bryan doesn't care about the money as he is more interested in nature as well as the environment around him.

Bryan & Okada are also two examples of wrestlers who are theoretical with their wrestling styles, as all their moves and finishers make sense. They both know how to work on a certain body part, and if they were ever to compete in a match together- it would simply be a guarantee that they would put on the match of their lives.
