WWE will be showcasing Raw's final pay-per-view before WrestleMania, the Elimination Chamber on February 25th, 2018, live from the T-Mobile Arena in the Las Vegas Valley, in Paradise, Nevada.
Several top superstars are advertised to grace the show and moreover, the company has done a solid job in booking the respective feuds. WrestleMania 34 is just around the horizon and these superstars will do everything in their power to punch their tickets to New Orleans.
Here are my full card predictions for Elimination Chamber 2018.
#5 Asuka vs Nia Jax
WWE has done a great job in making Nia Jax look like a serious contender to end Asuka's streak and while there is a lot of curiosity surrounding the match, there's no way the company would end the latter's streak.
'The Empress of Tomorrow' made history by becoming the winner of the first ever Women's Royal Rumble and it makes absolutely no sense for her to lose to Nia Jax.
The bout is solid on paper and will definitely exceed expectations but this is Asuka's year and if WWE is looking to book her like a dominant superstar on the main roster, she needs the victory on Sunday.
Final Prediction: Asuka wins
#4 Bray Wyatt vs 'Woken' Matt Hardy
When the WWE pushed the envelope with the feud of Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, a lot of the hardcore fan base got legitimately excited, considering how popular the Broken gimmick was. However, while the feud was initially spectacular, it has lost its element of entertainment in the past few weeks. The fans are not concerned about this match unless and until, these two superstars produce something great.
Bray and Hardy fought each other at Raw 25 in a very dull match and, it seems likely that they will continue to bore the audience. If the company wants to bring some excitement in this feud, they definitely to bring back Jeff Hardy as Brother Nero. Nonetheless, the company will probably go with its 50-50 booking prospects which means that Woken Matt Hardy will get the win here.
Final Prediction: Woken Matt Hardy wins
#3 Ronda Rousey's contract signing
WWE made global news when the 'baddest woman on the planet' made a shocking appearance at the Royal Rumble. 'The Rowdy One' made her intentions clear by pointing at the WrestleMania sign. Some major news broke out two weeks ago when Kurt Angle openly stated that Ronda Rousey would be signing her WWE contract at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
While the company is trying to sell the PPV by advertising Ronda, this segment could definitely ignite a sensational mainstream feud between the Rousey and Stephanie McMahon. The feud is rumored to culminate at 'the Grandest Stage of 'em All' and it is likely that this contract signing wouldn't end on a happy note. Expect some tensions to brew between Stephanie McMahon and Ronda Rousey this Sunday.
#2 Women's Elimination Chamber match
WWE is legitimately breaking the glass ceiling with the Women's division and have certainly elevated them on the main roster. It's safe to say that this match will be entertaining and brutal and, remains the most unpredictable bout from the whole match card. There's no denying that Alexa Bliss has been a dominating Women's champion and judging by her vicious heel personality, it seems likely that she will walk out of the Chamber as the winner.
The fans have been speculating Sasha Banks vs Bayley for WrestleMania 34 with Banks working as a heel and if it turns out to be true, then Bliss is definitely walking out as the Women's Champion. The company is pushing the boundaries with the Women's division and if there's a momentous time for these female athletes to deliver, it is now.
Final Prediction: Alexa Bliss retains
#1 Men's Elimination Chamber match
WWE produced a fantastic bout this past week on Raw by booking a gauntlet match, which saw Seth Rollins deliver the performance of his life. All the stars entering the Chamber have been booked in prominent positions and will bring their star power to this brutal match. It's safe to say that this stands out as the most predictable match on this card, which will probably see 'the Big Dog' overcoming all six superstars to earn his place at WrestleMania.
The Universal Championship has been long since rumored to be fought between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 and judging by recent speculation, it seems likely that the company is still sticking to its original plans.
Despite the predictable conclusion, the match will definitely be a solid 'match of the night' contender. Expect John Cena and Roman Reigns to fight it out as the last two superstars with Roman getting the final pin.
Final Prediction: Roman Reigns wins
