3. The Exaggerated record

Numbers were blown up

The 173 wins that were mentioned in the earlier slide is the official count that WCW gave out. However, a lot of the people associated with WCW during that time frame suggest that the numbers were exaggerated by WCW to make Goldberg stronger. Jericho mentioned that the actual number did not even come close to the number that WCW gave out.

Jimmy Hart tagged this exaggeration as ‘kind of funny’ when Miz marked that having so many wins in such a short time seemed like an unbelievable thing. The exaggeration did damage the credibility of the streak and this is perhaps why not many give importance to the streak whenever a discussion comes.
