The former Shield brethren have a storied history in WWE and countless reasons to duke it out in the ring. Roman Reigns has fought Seth Rollins on multiple occasions, but the Tribal Chief has never met the Messiah.

Both wrestlers are currently doing the best character work of their careers.

Seth Rollins was the fourth overall pick in the WWE 2020 Draft and the first Superstar to switch brands. With Murphy and the Mysterios joining him on SmackDown, the year-long feud may wrap up sooner rather than later. This will leave Seth Rollins to chase the Universal Championship that he had dropped at WWE's Crown Jewel in October 2019.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns has been a juggernaut since he returned. Portrayed as a menacing heel with Paul Heyman by his side, the Big Dog has decimated anyone who stood in his way. Roman Reigns is set to take on his cousin Jey Uso in an 'I Quit' match inside Hell in a Cell at the namesake PPV. It is highly unlikely for Roman Reigns to drop the title at the event.

Roman Reigns decisively conquering his cousin for the second time will allow him to move on to other opponents. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins colliding with their new characters makes for a fascinating scenario indeed.
