WWE certainly loves to have surprise returns during its PPVs and no matter how unique Money in the Bank was, some things don't change, do they?

A returning Elias intervened at the last moment to prevent King Corbin from winning the contract briefcase and laid him out with his guitar. Corbin was tussling for the possession of the briefcase with AJ Styles when this critical moment took place.

Now then, there is history between The Drifter and The King with the latter having put the former out of commission following WrestleMania on SmackDown. Elias was reportedly left in a position where he wasn't able to sing or play the guitar.

So obviously, it made sense for Elias to exact revenge at a stage that would cost King Corbin dearly and he did so at Money in the Bank. Expect tensions to boil over because Corbin won't be sitting back after this sneak attack and we could very well see this rivalry resume at SmackDown on Friday.
