Along with Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin is generally regarded as the gatekeeper to WWE's main roster. Any new talent introduced on RAW or SmackDown is usually pitted against them and are quite literally 'shown the ropes'.

The most recent example is Matt Riddle. The Original Bro feuded with Corbin after he was called up to WWE's main roster in June this year. With Matt Riddle being picked up by RAW, King Corbin is left with no one to pick on.

King Corbin is a solid in-ring worker and is quite skillful at portraying a disliked heel. He may very well target Dominik Mysterio for being a product of nepotism and living off his father's name. This will provide the young wrestler to overcome King Corbin and make a statement that his skills merit his position as a WWE Superstar.

King Corbin has been a perennial heel in WWE, whereas Rey Mysterio has been the ultimate babyface. This has ensured that they both have butted heads on multiple occasions, the latest being as recent as the Money in the Bank pay per view.

King Corbin was the man who flung Rey Mysterio off the roof of the WWE Headquarters, which definitely would not have sat well with his son.
