WrestleMania 36 saw the crowning of the first British WWE Champion in the company’s history. Drew McIntyre won the big one by defeating ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar at The Grandest Stage of Them All, to live up to the hype that was created around him by Vince McMahon several years ago.

It now seems like McIntyre is all ready to face Seth Rollins for the title and teach him a lesson for getting in his path and attacking him. Those two men will meet each other at Money in the Bank, and likely extend their rivalry beyond that, too. If that proves to be the case, it will give Mahal ample opportunity to rack up a succession of victories before going on to battle McIntyre for the title.

The company has been working hard to build The Scottish Psychopath as a top babyface, and having him defend his title against a villain like Mahal right after taking on Rollins could prove to be great for him.

Mahal and McIntyre have a lot of history together as part of the 3MB faction, and WWE could tell a storyline based on envy, where Mahal looks to take down McIntyre and reclaim the WWE Championship.
