John Cena and Samoa Joe have a well documented past as they started out at the same place together. They later took extremely different career paths that eventually led them here and finally, these two can lock it up inside a WWE ring. Cena being a free agent allows him the flexibility to go between the brands and make it possible for him to gear up for a major feud with Joe. To spice things up, Joe can be the Intercontinental Champion coming into this feud.

These two portray completely opposite characters and seeing them square off on the mic or in the ring would be interesting to observe, with Joe brutalising Cena and forcing him to dig deep and find his fire to fight back against the Samoan submission machine.

When the dust settles and these two are finished waging war on each other, Cena can raise the Intercontinental Championship high.
