Kevin Owens was one of the biggest names that moved from RAW to SmackDown during the 2020 WWE Draft. Owens seemed quite happy to learn that he and Sami Zayn are both on the same show now. Fans might remember that Owens has won the Universal title in the past, and was one of the most popular acts on SmackDown back in mid-2019. He would want nothing but an opportunity at Roman Reigns' Universal title if The Tribal Chief leaves Hell In A Cell with the belt still on his shoulder.
Owens and Roman Reigns have fought on several occasions in the past, and Owens has a bunch of victories over Reigns. Back in early 2017, Owens and Reigns faced off at a series of live shows on the road to WrestleMania, and Owens scored four back-to-back pins over Reigns around that time. This clearly means that Owens is fully capable of putting Roman Reigns down. On the other hand, Reigns is a completely different person than what he was back in 2017, and this fact makes a potential match between these two Superstars that much more intriguing.
