With Fastlane serving as the final stop on the Road to WWE WrestleMania 37, fans shouldn't expect everything to go down smoothly. A few twists and turns to shake things up are all but guaranteed. One of these twists and turns might occur in the No Holds Barred match.
On the March 8, 2021 edition of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre collided in a no-disqualification match. In the end, both Superstars hit each other with steel steps at the same time and were deemed unable to continue their match. This is the main reason why they are having a match at Fastlane in the first place.
With the No Holds Barred stipulation being highly similar to a no DQ one, the result could be the same as well. The Celtic Warrior and The Scottish Psychopath could keep on fighting until they are in no condition to continue.
Such a finish, at a pay-per-view like Fastlane, wouldn't sit well with many. However, it does make some sense. For starters, it could keep the WWE Title scene unpredictable as WrestleMania 37 gets closer.

Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
