#3. Chris Benoit
WWE hasn't been mentioned Chris Benoit's name on its programming since 2007. Even though some fans have petitioned to allow the former world champion into the WWE Hall of Fame, the company has remained adamant in their stance about "The Rabid Wolverine."
Benoit was once one of the most respected stars in WWE. That changed after the events that unfolded back in the summer of 2007. An apparent murder-suicide led to the deaths of Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their son, Daniel. The grim incident caused irreparable damage to the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion's reputation.
WWE aired a tribute show to Benoit the night that he passed away They later erased it from their archives and refused to mention his name on WWE programming again when the truth behind the events of that weekend was released to the public.
Fans can watch Benoit's matches on the WWE Network, but there is a warning on screen before any footage that Benoit is included in. His legacy is divisive, to say the least, but Benoit's name will never be mentioned on WWE programming again.
