Former Divas Champion AJ Lee was once one of the most popular women in the company and the longest reigning Divas Champion in the history of WWE. AJ opted to retire from the company back in 2015 merely days after she and Paige were victorious over The Bella Twins back at WrestleMania 31.
Lee was struggling with a number of issues at that time including a cervical spine injury that she picked whilst she was still working for WWE. It was reported that this was one of the main reasons behind her decision to retire and she has since found success as a New York Times Best Selling Author. Lee is currently working on turning her autobiography into a TV series, and won't be available to return to the ring as part of Evolution.
