Why did Big Cass leave WWE?
Big Cass returned from an eight-month ACL injury in April 2018 and immediately became involved in a rivalry with Daniel Bryan, who had only just been cleared to compete again following a three-year absence.

After defeats against Bryan at the Backlash and Money In The Bank pay-per-views, WWE surprisingly released Cass in June 2018, despite the 7-footer being booked as one of the top heels on SmackDown Live at the time.
It has since emerged that Cass was dealing with alcohol and mental health issues during his final few months with the company, and the former NXT Superstar left WWE on amicable terms after an hour-long meeting with Vince McMahon.
Will Big Cass return to WWE?
Speaking to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin in July 2019, Big Cass discussed his in-ring comeback and revealed that he believes there is a chance he could return to WWE.
"I feel bad about that [the way he acted before his WWE exit] and I'm disappointed in myself that I let a lot of people down. I do think the door is open. It's just a matter of what I want to do [in the future]."
