Scarlett was a surprising release from the company back in 2021 when the former NXT superstar followed her partner Karrion Kross on the way out.
Scarlett's ability in the ring was well-known ahead of her move over to WWE, but she was positioned as a valet for Kross throughout their time together in NXT instead.
When Kross was promoted to the main roster it was believed that Scarlett would follow and she would finally be allowed to show what she was capable in the ring. As a natural storyteller, Scarlett's creative ability shone through as her fiancee's valet, and many fans were excited to see her become an active part of the Women's Division.

Instead, Scarlett was contracted to the company for around two years and was unable to wrestle a single match in that time.
It is worth noting that Scarlett wrestled one match before she was under contract, which came back in 2016 when she was easily defeated by fellow star Nia Jax on an episode of RAW.
