It was a sorry time for Baron Corbin when he lost his King of the Ring crown to Shinsuke Nakamura on Friday Night SmackDown in the summer of 2021. A month after losing his crown, he turned up to SmackDown in dirty clothes, he hadn't shaved or cut his hair. He'd hit rock bottom. Corbin claimed he lost everything when he lost his crown, including his car, investments, his home, and his wife had left him.
Although circumstances like this aren't to be laughed at, it was simply a comedy character Baron Corbin was playing. Over the weeks he would beg people for money and at one point even stole Big E's Money in the Bank briefcase. He didn't want to eat tinned food anymore, he wanted his wagyu beef back. It amused the WWE Universe, who wanted to see what was going to happen next with the fallen King.
