Goldberg made a surprise return as earlier this year on an episode of Monday Night RAW and went on to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
The segment between the two stars ended the show and at the time the company was running over their allotted time. This led to Goldberg being sent to the ring early and meant that McIntyre was unable to finish the promo that he had been given that was aimed towards the WWE legends who were on stage.

WWE thought that Goldberg would realize this and adjust his own promo accordingly, but that wasn't the case. The WWE Hall of Famer still delivered his promo word for word despite the fact that McIntyre hadn't disrespected any of the legends on stage.
This forced McIntyre to scramble to make some sense of the situation before Goldberg went on to challenge him to a match at The Royal Rumble. It was a match that Goldberg went on to lose.
