Joe Hendry made his WWE NXT debut tonight and competed in the Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. Trick Williams is the current champion and defeated Ethan Page earlier this month at Battleground to retain the title.

Unfortunately for Joe Hendry, he was eliminated early by Frankie Kazarian after everyone ganged up on him. Hendry then approached Shawn Michaels backstage and warned that he could show up on any show he wants. The WWE legend seemingly agreed and ended the segment by saying, "I believe."

Listed below are five collaborations Joe Hendry could have in WWE following his NXT debut.

#5. Joe Hendry could have a rivalry with Ethan Page in WWE

Joe Hendry shocked the wrestling world with his appearance tonight on WWE NXT. Ethan Page did the same last month when he made his debut in NXT and attacked Trick Williams. Page's contract with All Elite Wrestling expired earlier this year.

The two stars have proven to have charisma over the years and they could get a chance to show off their promo skills in a rivalry against each other on WWE television. It would be a great way to increase the star power of both wrestlers and showcase what they are capable of with a microphone in their hands.

#4. He could go after the NXT Championship down the line

Joe Hendry will have to wait a bit to challenge for the NXT Championship, as he did not win the Battle Royal tonight. The popular TNA star could return to the promotion in the weeks ahead and challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Championship if he is able to retain against Je'Von Evans, who emerged victorious in the Battle Royal.

Hendry has the promo ability to bring the best out of Trick Williams if the two were to have a rivalry. Williams has established a loyal fanbase, but it would only get bigger if he were to work with the 36-year-old in the future.

#3. The TNA star could reignite his rivalry with Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre and Joe Hendry had a hilarious rivalry during their time in Insane Championship Wrestling. Hendry parodied Eiffel 65's smash hit "Blue" by changing it to "I'm Drew." McIntyre recently praised the veteran and claimed that he has deserved a major opportunity for a long time.

The Scottish Warrior "quit" on RAW after CM Punk cost him his chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle. Hendry could write another song poking fun at McIntyre and reignite their rivalry down the line.

#2. Joe Hendry and CM Punk could start a faction

CM Punk has delivered countless memorable promos throughout his career, and even his rants have become infamous. His explosive comments following AEW All Out 2022 while enjoying muffins from Mindy's Bakery are still referenced to this day.

The 45-year-old enjoyed some donuts during his appearance at the Clash at the Castle press conference this past Saturday night. Punk is recovering from a torn triceps and will likely be squaring off with Drew McIntyre when he is cleared to return to the ring.

A stable featuring Hendry and Punk would be must-watch television for the promos alone. Hendry also has an interesting connection to CM Punk, as he is being managed by Ace Steel in TNA. Both Punk and Steel were reportedly involved in the brawl with The Elite following All Out 2022.

#1. Joe Hendry could target The Miz on WWE RAW

The Miz is a former WWE Champion and is currently one-half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside R-Truth. However, he has become most known over the years for his promos and hosting the Miz TV segments.

The 43-year-old would be a solid choice as Hendry's first opponent if he were to show up on the main roster. Hendry and The Miz are both great with a microphone and The A-Lister could help make the former Impact Digital Media Champion become a star in front of the WWE Universe.
