It is a very interesting time for Braun Strowman in WWE right now. First 'The Monster Among Men' lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn at WWE Elimination Chamber only weeks after winning the Intercontinental Championship for the first time. After that, it appeared Braun Strowman did not have any significant plans for WrestleMania 36 in the pipeline.

That all changed once Roman Reigns pulled out of WrestleMania 36 for health reasons. It was then revealed on the go-home episode of SmackDown that Braun Strowman will challenge Goldberg at WrestleMania for the WWE Universal Championship. To everyone's shock, Strowman defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 to win his first world title in WWE.

Now, what better way to legitimize Braun Strowman as WWE Universal Champion than by having the newly-crowned champion face off against The Undertaker in a post-WrestleMania rivalry? It was speculated for a brief period of time back in 2015-2016 that Braun Strowman was scheduled to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. Reportedly, The Phenom was not happy with the idea of that match and plans switched to The Undertaker facing Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The Undertaker is much more vulnerable and able to put guys overusing the biker gimmick as the mystique of The Deadman isn't as overbearing. Braun Strowman could certainly solidify himself as worthy of being WWE Universal Champion and a main event caliber talent by successfully defeating The Undertaker after WrestleMania. It would also come full-circle for The Phenom as he puts over a man who he was previously hesitant to work with many years ago and in the process, solidify Strowman as WWE's next "big man" Superstar.
