Boy, I hope not.

Sorry, just wanted to get that out of the way.

Ever since Black's debut in NXT, there's been plenty of chatter regarding him being "the new Undertaker." It's easy to see why: the two are pretty similar, with their dark personas with occult-like characteristics, for one. Also, both employ a lot of MMA elements in their ring styles - you know, how Undertaker is the "best pure striker in WWE"?

WWE has been trying to find the "next Undertaker" for a while now, especially since the actual Undertaker keeps making people think he's finally retired. Black seems to be the closest to that (now that a certain Eater of Worlds... well, more on that guy in a minute), so if Undertaker's going to keep hanging around anyway, why not have him work with his supposed replacement?

Now, obviously, nobody can replace The Undertaker, and having him plan his "seal of approval" on someone who is, theoretically, supposed to do just that... just feels a little hokey. That doesn't mean WWE won't do it, of course - this is Vince McMahon and WWE we're talking about. Barring that, the only other option would be to have them in a feud - which really isn't the best idea, either.

Nothing against Undertaker - in fact, he showed at Extreme Rules on Sunday that he can still pull off some fun matches with the right people surrounding him. And, of course, 'Taker himself seems to have no qualms about hitting the ring every now and then.

Nothing against Black - he's going to be a huge, huge star if WWE lets him (he's also way better on the mic than you guys are giving him credit for, come on) - and he's by no means a rookie. But, asking him to carry any sort of load in a one-on-one feud with The Undertaker is stretching the limits of credibility.

But, it's possibly on the table, so we have to consider it.

Who were we talking about earlier?
