KO has been the most entertaining performer in WWE for the last few months and now appears to be getting a well deserved push. A win over AJ Styles is big for Owens and doing it with no outside interference or underhanded tactics sends a huge statement. It builds Kevin Owens as a major force and also brings into question whether AJ Styles does actually need The Club at his side, furthering his current storyline.
A strong main event match with what looks like a logical finish for the long term booking of both talents has been a rare occurrence on Raw in recent years. Let’s hope they can build on this over the following weeks.
