#6 Not So Great: A lacklustre end to Bobby Lashley and Lana's romance
Last year, Vince McMahon gave fans one of the most bizarre storylines in WWE history when Bobby Lashley would get involved in a romantic angle with Rusev's real-life wife, Lana. The two Superstars were a couple for almost nine months, during which they'd also get married to one another on-screen. However, Lashley and Lana ended their storyline last month as The All Mighty demanded a divorce from his storyline wife.
While the prime purpose of this storyline was to make the rivalry between Lashley and Rusev feel more personal and get The All Mighty over as a heel, Vince McMahon and Co. missed the mark. Instead, the storyline was dragged on for a long period. During this time, Rusev was released by WWE as well. In the end, the storyline benefitted no one and the ending was far from convincing.
#5 Great: Making Apollo Crews the United States Champion
For the last few years, Apollo Crews was just revolving around the mid-card picture and was trying hard to find his place in a stacked roster. At a point, he even became a mainstay on WWE Main Event. However, he still kept working hard and finally impressed Vince McMahon with his abilities. Over a month ago on RAW, Crews defeated Andrade to bag the United States Championship.
While Vince McMahon reportedly wasn't really a big fan of Crews, it's great to see he took a chance on him and is letting him have a good run with the title. Crews' reign so far has been great, and he will defend the Championship against MVP at Extreme Rules.
