During the 2000s, Evolution was one of the most powerful factions in all of WWE. Ric Flair, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista were members of this legendary faction.
Formed in 2003, Evolution was WWE's attempt to recreate the success of the legendary stable, Four Horsemen.

The name Evolution was perfect for the group as it represented the evolution of talent in WWE. Ric Flair was the past, Triple H was the present, and Randy Orton and Batista were the future of WWE.
At their peak, Evolution held onto every major Championship on the Red Brand. Triple H was the World Heavyweight Champion, Orton was the Intercontinental Champion, and Flair and Batista were the Tag Champions.
Evolution helped launch the careers of Randy Orton and Batista, who became multi-time world champions in the future.
The spectacular rivalries between Triple H and Orton, and then Triple H and Batista, prompted by the group's breakup, further solidified the main event status of Orton and Batista.
