John Cena
The Nexus invasion of Monday Night RAW was the hottest WWE angle of 2010, and had the potential to give the fans years' worth of storylines. The faction ran roughshod on the WWE roster for weeks on end, until John Cena finally managed to form a team that engaged in battle against the unruly rookies at SummerSlam 2010. At the event, Cena revealed the seventh member of his team: a returning Daniel Bryan. In the end, Team WWE stood victorious and The Nexus' entire momentum went down the drain in one go.

The Nexus' downfall kicked off at WWE SummerSlam 2010
The faction never recovered from this big loss, and most of its members went on to do nothing of worth in WWE over the next few years. Daniel Bryan managed to become a successful Superstar, and even headlined and won the main event of WrestleMania 30, but the others failed to make an impact in WWE. One wonders what would have happened in the long run if The Nexus had defeated Team WWE at SummerSlam 2010 and whether Wade Barrett would have been a bigger Superstar today.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
