5 heels that the WWE should try outside the Authority

Having good Heels in the company is one of the basic building blocks that all wrestling promotions should have. Over the past years, WWE have managed to produce some credible ones to keep the fans on their toes. However, recently the heel scenario of WWE has been confined to the Authority and what they do to make things flow the way that they want it to be. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon without a doubt are unmatched in case of the heat that they get from the crowd.Banking only on the Authority in such a crucial period of business is a move which could backfire against the company. So here are the alternative heels that the WWE creative could bring up apart from Hunter and his wife.

#5 Adam Rose

Though this might sound a bit weird, anyone who knew Adam Rose in the past would agree with the move. He was a hard hitting Leo Kruger back in NXT and before the creative messed him in the main roster, he was held in high regard by many.

Now Rose might have a comedy gimmick right now but so did Mick Foley back in the Attitude Era. The three faces of Foley, Dude Love, Mankind and Cactus Jack were keeping Foley fresh in the roster and gave the fans something different whenever he set foot in between the ropes.

Rose might not be up there with Mick Foley but he certainly has the caliber to pull of more than one character.

He might turn out to be an effective heel just like Foley rather than being wasted like this in a gimmick that no one cares about.

#4 Big Show

Big men like Big Show were always effective as heels. The way they impose their size to dominate the opponents and provide the David vs. Goliath battle every time they set foot in the ring suits well with the angle and increases the face wrestler’s stock.

Show might be taking a break for other projects now but when he returns he could be repackaged as a heel instead of having another botched face run.

With the age factor taking hold of him soon, the company is running out of time when it comes to Show making it necessary to use him at the earliest.

Show could easily notch up some feud with Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose and have that one final run in the main event scene that he deserves for his contribution.

#3 Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior’s main event run might’ve come to an end as things stand now. He is finding it hard to break the ice to slide through into the main event scene which is taken over by the youngsters.

Sheamus has been stuck as a result in the mid card with the United States title and one thing which is instrumental in all these is his alignment. The face runs that Sheamus had in the past have always ended up in some kind of creative disappointment though on a personal level it has given him success.

The story is repeating itself with him and if turned properly, Sheamus could be catapulted into the main event as a monster heel.

There is a lot of space for a wrestler like him to fill in up there and with the title around the waist; he wouldn’t have difficulty in finding feuds as well.

#2 Seth Rollins

Rollins maybe someone who is closely associated with the company but at the same time he is also the guy who ended the Shield. There is a lot of heat on Seth Rollins even if he is not backed by the authority since he tore down one of the most loved factions in recent history.

WWE could bring up Rollins as a singles heel and stop his association with Hunter and end up with a heel just like Randy Orton used to be back in his days.

Rollins is projected as selfish and arrogant at the moment which is traits that he could use to build up some good feuds in the future.

A well plotted angle for cashing in the Money in the bank contract could also aid the whole angle and WWE would be ending up with a heel champion who looks good with the title.

#1 John Cena

John Cena turning heel is still a dream scenario for most of the WWE fans. Cena winning the title recently is a major setback for those dreams but names like Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and the Rock with whom Cena is classified, have had heel runs in their career.

The company is at a financially awkward stage at the moment and in such situations in the past they’ve did some surprise twists and turns to keep the fans rooted to their seats.

And there won’t be much bigger surprises that Cena having a heel turn. He could end up screwing some fan favorite like Roman Reigns to retain the title and a segment where Cena unleashes his wrath against the fans will do the job well.

Many tag this as an impossible thing to happen since Cena is the face of WWE in all aspects but if they are cornered, the WWE would just play out this triumph card.
