WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world right now. Led and guided by the on-screen evil boss, Vince McMahon, the company has reached new heights of success with each passing year.
The world of pro-wrestling, as we know it today, has changed so much than what it was before. The whole "kayfabe" factor from the business has gone, as we are now in the "Reality Era" of the business. With the advancement of the internet wrestling community, fans have become more and more aware of what once were huge secrets for WWE.
Being watching WWE since my childhood, I admit without any shame that there was a time when I used to think The Undertaker and Kane are real brothers and pro-wrestling is not scripted but is all absolutely real. But that was a good 15 years ago, and now with the onslaught of the internet, not just these but many more massive secrets of the company and the business overall have been revealed to the world.
It's very popular to get real camera footage from WWE shows and events that often split out many hidden secrets that the company tries to keep away from the fans. Credit where it's due, as WWE tries a lot to keep the "kayfabe" part alive, but things don't always go their way.

#5 Referees helping wrestlers during the match
The job of a WWE referee isn't as easy as it seems. In one of my other articles, I've discussed some surprising facts about these unsung heroes of pro-wrestling that you might not know. A WWE referee has to do a lot more than just show up on the day of an event and officiate the match.
Much like the wrestlers involved, these referees also train for the match in advance. They are well aware of all the major spots in the match that they will officiate, and hence they are a huge help to wrestlers inside the ring whenever some spot goes wrong.
One of the recent examples of this that was caught on camera was during Becky Lynch and Charlotte's match at the Evolution PPV last year. In the video above, it can be seen clearly how the referee is passing the chair to Becky to help her get out of the Figure 8 lock.
#4 Fake and edited crowd reactions
It is very common these days to see fans cheer for heels and boo babyfaces. While this is fun for the crowd enjoying in the arena, it's not really what WWE as a company wants to portray on television to their global audience.
Thus, WWE often edits the crowd reactions to make them sound the way they want them to. Next time you watch a live show of RAW or SmackDown, try and watch it's repeated telecast as well and try to figure out whether the crowd sounded the same in both or not.
In the video above, you can clearly hear some very fake-sounding crowd reactions that reveal the secret of WWE editing them.
#3 Roman Reigns using blood capsules
The element of blood is used to heighten the drama in a pro-wrestling match. While it is rare to see blood in today's PG era of WWE, but still from time to time one or the other top superstars are seen bleeding during their matches or segments.
Historically, wrestlers have been using blading to achieve this purpose by cutting themselves open with the help of a hidden blade, but in recent years another new alternative to blading has been developed - blood capsules.
In the video above, during Roman Reigns' segment with Triple H on RAW during the build-up of their match at WrestleMania 32, one can see Byron Saxton passing out something to Reigns which he secretly uses. But a fan recorded this video, and thus this secret also went out in public.
#2 The Undertaker appearing in the ring
The Undertaker is arguably the most iconic character in WWE history. Throughout decades, his mysterious appearances and segments have created chills down the fan's spines.
One of his very popular stunts is when the light disappears and The Dead Man appears out of nowhere behind his opponent. WWE very smartly displays that on TV to make it appear as if the Undertaker can teleport, but to the ones watching live in the arenas, the experience is quite different.
In the video above, a fan captured The Undertaker entering the ring from below it while the lights were off, giving out WWE's secret of how The Phenom appears in the ring all of a sudden.
#1 The leaked Script
During the summer of 2014 after WrestleMania XXX, a few pictures of the script of RAW went viral on the internet when a fan captured photos of a script that someone from the commentary team or cameraman accidentally left unattended.
In the picture above, it can be clearly seen that the lines of the promo between John Cena and Bray Wyatt are written down. It is also very clear that each and every segment are micro-managed and scheduled minute-to-minute before they go live.
This also confirms the fact that superstars have to learn the lines fed to them by the management and speak in their promos, unlike how it used to be in old times when they had some freedom with their characters and promos.
