WWE has presented The Miz and John Morrison in comedic roles since they reunited, but their silly humor has rarely struck a chord with the WWE Universe. As a result, it's often difficult to take The Miz seriously.
That being said, The Miz and Morrison were actually funny this week. The Miz narrated a story while Morrison, dressed up like Braveheart, and AJ Styles, who was carrying a sword, enacted it in the ring. Morrison's over-the-top shenanigans and wardrobe were enough to warrant a chuckle.

Styles then "stabbed" Morrison and climbed up the stairs, signaling his WWE Championship win. The Miz ended the story with a massive swerve in which he cashed in his MITB briefcase and became the champion.
This segment was nothing extraordinary, but the Superstars delivered their lines and performed competently. So it was goofy, fun way to kick off WWE RAW. The best part of the segment was that it did not overstay its welcome. It was quickly interrupted by Sheamus, and "The Celtic Warrior" and Styles went ahead with their terrific match.
