#3 WWE World Cup
WWE announced a World Cup tournament for WWE Crown Jewel late last year. Even though the event announcement received immense backlash due to the location where it was being held, the World Cup concept sounded quite intriguing.
Members of the WWE Universe started preparing their list of each country's representative. However, the first 2 contestants were revealed to be John Cena (later replaced by Bobby Lashley) and Kurt Angle.
A day later, Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy joined the tournament. At this stage, 4 of the 8 competitors were Americans. They were joined by Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Rey Mysterio, making the World Cup an all-American tournament.
Once all the slots were filled, the WWE Universe started criticizing the tournament as well. The Bulgarian Brute, who failed to qualify against The Miz, offered his two cents.
He, like all of us, was confused whether the right name for the tournament should have been something other than "World Cup". Rusev suggested US Open, and that was literally the most honest tweet ever posted on his account.
