Sami Zayn has been out of action since Money in the Bank

Sami Zayn is the most recent superstar on this list to be forced out of action due to injury since it was reported last week that the former NXT Champion will be out of action until 2019 after he suffered two torn rotator cuffs.

It was well-known that Zayn had been working injured, but following his match with Bobby Lashley at Money in the Bank, WWE ensured that it was an emphatic win for The Dominator so that Zayn could be written off WWE TV for a while and gain the medical assistance that he required.

With Kevin Owens moving forward without his friend and his feud with Lashley now wrapped up, there is nothing pressing for Zayn to return to at present, which means that he could be looking at up to a year on the sidelines.
