There's simply no wrestler in WWE history who Vince McMahon is a bigger fan of than The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. After all, he is the greatest in-ring performer of his generation and perhaps even of all time.

Michaels was never handpicked as the office favourite, but according to Bruce Prichard, he earned it, busting his backside off night by night, constantly stealing the show and constantly proving to be better than everyone else.

This resulted in the push of a lifetime and Michaels would headline WrestleMania, win multiple World Championships and even have a magical second run with the company after he was thought to have retired.

It all resulted in a deserved Hall of Fame induction 2011, one year after his retirement at WrestleMania 26. When McMahon handed him the Hall of Fame ring, he's seen visibly tearing up, with Shawn Michaels hugging him to calm him down a bit.
