Strowman's team dissipated and now The Shield has no realistic challengers anymore
Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre had formed a makeshift team to be viable and realistic challengers for The Shield. You cannot have any three men from the roster take the Hounds of Justice on. They are all top guys, much in the sense that The Four Horsemen or nWo were. The challengers have to seem threatening.

Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
Except now, the heels have problems of their own, following the events on RAW this week. It does seem like both Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre will be waging their own war, leading into the big Crown Jewel event. And this means that there are no viable opponents for The Shield currently.
What's the point of a group without any real challengers? I think WWE may be setting the stage for an Ambrose heel turn.
It would make all the sense in the world, considering the current scenario.
