Several WWE Superstars are unfortunately off television at the moment due to injuries. While some are away for storyline purposes, others are suffering from real-life setbacks. However, some may be set for a return before the year ends.
AJ Styles, Ilja Dragunov, Tyler Bate, Asuka, and more are currently out of action due to injuries they sustained this year. Unfortunately, most of them are not expected to return anytime soon to give them more time to heal and rest. With that being said, some of their fellow absent stars may be gearing up to return soon.
For this list, we will look at five injured WWE stars who could return before 2024 ends.
#5. Charlotte Flair has been out for almost a year
Fans last saw Charlotte Flair in a match against Asuka on the December 8, 2023, episode of SmackDown with the latter winning the match. During the clash, the latter tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus after performing a top rope maneuver.
The Queen has since undergone surgery and continuously updated fans about her road to recovery, which is looking better than ever. With the women's division continuing to heat up, as well as the introduction of the new United States and Intercontinental Championships, Flair will be an exciting factor to include soon.
#4. Jimmy Uso sustained an injury during Survivor Series: WarGames
Jimmy Uso was one of the winning competitors at the recent Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event. However, he didn't walk out 100% as it was later revealed during the Press Conference that he broke his toe during the match.
Based on previous cases, this type of injury doesn't require a long recovery period. Although Jimmy might be back on television before the year ends, he might not be involved in heavy matches for a while and maybe even just make simple appearances.
#3. Randy Orton can make a surprise return at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Randy Orton was sidelined with an injury after a brawl with Kevin Owens on the November 8 episode of SmackDown. The Viper hasn't been seen since, while The Prizefighter is set to face Cody Rhodes at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event for the Undisputed Championship. With this in mind, another name that can be involved in that match is The Apex Predator himself.
It has already been reported that the injury is most likely a storyline, which is why a long recovery time is not expected. En route to Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season, Randy can have his revenge against Owens.
#2. Damian Priest caused concern during WWE Survivor Series
Damian Priest was one of the stars in action last weekend at Survivor Series. He fought Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but failed to win back the title after interference from Finn Balor. However, another notable part of the match was when he crashed outside the ring and had difficulty performing the Razor's Edge.
Many thought Priest injured his shoulder during the match, but this may have just been for storyline purposes and it's nothing serious. The Archer of Infamy was even seen attacking Finn backstage after the match. Due to this, Priest might likely make his presence known again when Balor faces The Ring General at Saturday Night's Main Event.
#1. Braun Strowman already returned to action after WWE SmackDown
Braun Strowman faced Bronson Reed in September this year in a Last Monster Standing match. The former won the bout with some help from Seth Rollins, but he sustained a torn groin during the exchange. While he hasn't been on television since the injury, he has already made his in-ring return.
It was shared that The Monster of All Monsters returned during a dark match following the November 15 episode of SmackDown, teaming up with Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee against Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito. With this in mind, Braun is ready for some action and WWE is just likely looking for the right timing.
