This battle between two supernatural gimmicks has been in the making for a long time

At the TLC pay-per-view mentioned in the last slide, Finn Balor was originally scheduled to face Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego, Sister Abigail. However, the latter was ruled out of action owing to medical reasons. But that’s not the only reason why Balor needs his revenge against Bray Wyatt. Back when Balor decided to take time off, he was booked to face The Fiend.

At SummerSlam, Finn Balor fell prey to The Fiend and lost in an underwhelming fashion. Following that, Balor stepped away from in-ring action and eventually returned to NXT.
