Legions of WWE fans who have followed the career and path of Roman Reigns might know that the Big Dog was portrayed as a villainous character down in NXT.
While NXT has established its position as another brand today, the show was still considered to be a developmental territory, and the former Universal Champion was a part of it for a very brief period.
Strangely, Roman played a more interesting role in NXT where the 33-year old Superstar displayed his true villainous antics and had an engaging attitude of a heel.
He only had three televised matches for NXT where the Samoan annihilated the likes of C.J. Parker, Chase Donovan, and Gavin Reids before transitioning into a full-fledged member of the Shield.
Some of his promos down in NXT are significant proof that if provided with the right character, the Big Dog can really bring the house down.
His interactions with Byron Saxton in the developmental territory are excellent examples of how much credibility Roman has, as a heel.
