#2 The United States Championship will not be defended for the first time since WrestleMania XXX
It is not uncommon that several Championships change every year at WrestleMania. At least three Championships have changed hands in each of the past five WrestleManias, with a record-breaking eight new champions being crowned at WrestleMania 35.
However, one Championship that is very unlikely to change at WrestleMania 36 is the United States Championship. In the past five years, the United States Championship has always been a part of WrestleMania, with matches including John Cena, Kevin Owens and Jinder Mahal winning the Championship off of Rusev, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton respectively whilst Kalisto successfully fought off Ryback at WrestleMania 32, and Samoa Joe beat Rey Mysterio in just one minute at WrestleMania 35.
As it stands, the current United States Champion, Andrade is scheduled to team up with Angel Garza against The Street Profits for the RAW Tag Team Championship, with no suggestion he’ll be defending his own Championship as well. Taking into consideration that very few Superstars get the opportunity to wrestle twice in a single WrestleMania, this is likely to be Andrade’s only match on the Grandest Stage of Them All this year.
