This match had no business being on a pay-per-view card
After Michael Cole defeated Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania XXVII, it was decided that the best follow up match at Extreme Rules a month later was a tag team match that also included poor Jim Ross and former World Champion Jack Swagger.

Rather than this being a normal match, the week before Swagger and Cole attacked Ross with his own belt which is why it was decided that the stipulation would make this a "Country Whipping match."
This match could easily be seen as one of the worst that the pay-per-view has ever housed, somehow it was able to last for around 10 minutes and saw some intensity when it came to whipping each other, but the end came when Cole was able to pin Jim Ross so that the feud between him and Lawler could continue much to the dismay of the WWE Universe.
