WWE has a number of possibilities on deck if SummerSlam takes place on a boat.
#2 Apollo Crews gets left behind

To prolong his feud with MVP, there's a strong possibility that WWE books a scenario where Apollo Crews gets left behind on the dock, giving him a logical out for his potential SummerSlam match with the founder of the Hurt Business.
This would also be a great way to build up someone like Apollo Crews to return and face MVP for the United States Championship that he never lost since WWE could then claim that Crews was ready to make his in-ring return but somehow got left behind when the ship left the shore for The Biggest Party of the Summer.

This would then mean that Crews could film his scenes separately and then WWE could use those to show that he was ready and prepared to leave but he arrived at the wrong location and completely missed the boat.
The storyline could then continue between Crews and MVP even if the current US Champion isn't able to make his return to WWE until a few more weeks down the line.
