Elimination Chamber has been a pay-per-view in WWE since 2011, even though there was a gap from 2015 until 2018. Throughout that time, the event has taken place in February and has contained the main buildup to WrestleMania (aside from one event).
This has meant that more often than not, this is the last obstacle for the WWE/World Champion to overcome on The Road to WrestleMania, but for the first time in the PPV's history, the Championship won't be defended this year.
Back in 2013, the Chamber match was for the title match at WrestleMania, but the WWE Championship was defended later in the show. This year, the main Chamber match is for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania but at present, there are no main women or men's Championship matches set to take place as part of the pay-per-view.
Bayley could still have a match announced on SmackDown, but since she only recently defended her title at Super ShowDown last week, it's highly unlikely. Whilst Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have no desire to be part of this weekend's event.
