Liv Morgan started out the year in a feud with Lana after she revealed that the two women had been part of a secret relationship alongside the one that Lana was in with Bobby Lashley.
The reveal was for shock value and after a few mixed tag matches and the return of Ruby Riott, the angle was seemingly dropped.

Morgan then moved into a feud with her former teammate, whilst Lana has since moved on to a storyline with Natalya.
If Liv Morgan made her return and reunited with Ruby Riott, then she could set back into the feud with Lana and make it about her jealousy that Lana is now working closely with Natalya.
Throughout their feud earlier in the year, Liv was made to look like the jealous ex-partner and now that Bobby Lashley is out of the picture, Liv could step back in and be part of an interesting story with Lana.
The storyline angle was just dropped following Riott's return, so WWE could easily pick it back up.
