There was a time when KofiMania was running wild in WWE. It took Brock Lesnar less than 10 seconds to destroy Kofi Kingston and his dreams of retaining the WWE Championship when The Beast won the title from Kingston on the first episode of SmackDown on FOX.

While Lesnar has since been busy dealing with Mysterio and Velasquez, Kingston has resumed his role as a tag team specialist teaming with Big E as part of The New Day. Though it is understandable that WWE wanted to grab more eyeballs by having Velasquez enter a program against Lesnar, a lot of the fans are upset at the way Kingston has been treated ever since he lost the World Championship - almost as if he had never won it.

There has been speculation that WWE may be planning a long-term storyline with Kingston where he begins his ascent to regain the WWE Championship yet again, and what better place to start than Crown Jewel.

Kingston could interfere in the match causing a DQ. The New Day member could then rant about how he deserved the Championship shot instead of Cain. Not only will this help WWE come out of the corner they have backed themselves into, but also give Kofi's character the edge required to go to the next level.
