5 last-minute changes WWE could make to Extreme Rules: Top star returns, Multiple stipulations added

#2 WWE adds stipulations to a few matches at Extreme Rules

As of right now, Roman Reigns vs. The Demon is the only match at Extreme Rules that WWE has issued a gimmick for. Considering the name of the pay-per-view, that is extremely disappointing. A few more matches need to get stipulations, as early as SmackDown or as late as the Kickoff Show.

One of them may be the United States Title triple threat between Damian Priest, Sheamus, and Jeff Hardy. It could get an additional gimmick, especially if another three-way is added to the card. The Usos vs. The Street Profits can also be upgraded, possibly into a Ladder Match.

Whether it is either of the above or one of the Women's Championship matches, the company needs to add more stipulations to Extreme Rules. Failure to do so would be underwhelming, with this Sunday's pay-per-view being better off with another name.

#1 Brock Lesnar is confirmed to appear at Extreme Rules

One of the biggest ways WWE can build anticipation for Extreme Rules is to loosely confirm that Brock Lesnar will be at the pay-per-view. It can happen on SmackDown, playing off Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman's interaction on last week's episode.

The Tribal Chief told his special counsel that his job is to find out in advance if Lesnar will be at the event like he seemingly did at SummerSlam. This week could see Heyman confidently informing Reigns that The Beast Incarnate will show up on Sunday.

Whether he appears during Roman Reigns' match against The Demon or afterward, Brock Lesnar may indeed confront the Universal Champion at Extreme Rules. The intrigue would further sell the pay-per-view as a must-watch affair.
